We spend a lot of our time out at work sites, but this is where we come back to finish the notes and handle the money side of things. It’s not a shiny corporate headquarters. There are stacks of paper on the desks and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. But it is our home base. We know the local tea seller at the corner and usually get our snacks from the shop down the road. Working in Patna means dealing with the heat and the crowds, but we are used to it by now. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the construction projects stay on track. It is a straightforward business run by people who live right here in the city. Most of us take the bus or walk to work because parking on Rajendra Path is a nightmare.
