We are based on Boring Canal Road in Patna, specifically in Flat Number 52 of the Harihar Apartment. It’s right in the New Capital area, which is always buzzing with activity. Berners Technology Limited Liability Partnership is just a small outfit working from this apartment. We chose this spot because it’s central and everyone knows Boring Canal Road. The office is basically a converted living space, so it feels very much like a home. We have our computers set up where the dining table probably used to be. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means, but it has everything we need to stay connected and get our tech work done. The traffic outside can be pretty loud, especially during the rush hour, but we just shut the windows and get on with it. We don’t have a big team or a human resources department. It’s just a few of us who know a lot about technology and like to solve problems. We spend our days coding and talking to clients on the phone. There is usually a pile of old hard drives in the corner and someone is always making a fresh pot of tea. We don’t bother with fancy mission statements or trying to look bigger than we are. We are just a local tech partnership trying to do a good job from a modest flat in a busy part of Patna.
