Abhishek Kumar

Abhishek Kumar. I work out of a place in Panchshil Nagar, over in the Kumhrar area of Patna. The landmark everyone knows around here is Thakur Bari. It’s a very local neighborhood, not like those high-end commercial districts. My workspace is simple. I’ve lived and worked in Patna for a long time, so I know how things move here. I handle various technical and construction-related tasks. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers when needed. I don’t have a big staff or a fancy office with glass walls. It’s just a room where I keep my tools, my books, and my desk. People from around the Kumhrar area usually just stop by when they have something they need help with. I spend a lot of time out of the office, visiting sites or meeting people. When I am at the desk, I’m usually caught up in some paperwork or planning. It’s not a complicated life. I like the fact that people know me by name here. There’s no need for big advertisements or a complicated website. I just do the work as it comes and try to be fair with everyone. Being near Thakur Bari is nice because it feels like the heart of the community. It’s practical, it’s a bit dusty sometimes, but it’s where I get things done every single day. I’ve been here long enough to see the neighborhood change, but the way I work stays the same and I like it that way.
