A C Salon. We are located on Road No-12 in Rajendranagar. It’s a bit quieter than the main roads in Patna. Being near Dr. Rajan Chaudhary’s place helps people find us. The shop isn't very big, but I try to keep it organized. The name says AC, and I do have a unit, but I only turn it on when it gets really unbearable in the summer because the electricity bill is too high. Most of the time, the big pedestal fan does the job. I have three black chairs. The headrests are a bit loose. I have a lot of regular customers from the colony who come every month. They know where I keep the magazines. I’ve got some old copies of film magazines that people like to flip through while they wait. The sink is in the back corner, and the tile around it is a bit stained. I use a spray bottle that I found at the market last year. It has a nice mist. I spend a lot of time cleaning the combs with a small brush. The floor is white tile, so every single hair shows up. I’m always sweeping. Sometimes my brother comes by to help with the billing. We don't have a computer, just a small notebook where I write down the daily earnings. It’s a steady business. I keep some extra plastic stools for when a whole family comes in at once. Usually, we close by eight in the evening. There is a street dog that sleeps outside the door every night.
