Shree Mahadev Rice Mills

We've been operating Shree Mahadev Rice Mills here on Patiala Road for a while now. If you're driving past the tool plaza, you probably see our gates. It gets pretty busy around here during the harvest months. Trucks come in and out all day long. We mostly focus on the day-to-day work of milling. It's a lot of noise and dust, but that is just how it is with rice. My family and a few local workers handle the machinery. Sometimes the machines act up when it gets too hot, but we manage to fix things ourselves most of the time. The yard gets crowded when the farmers bring their loads. We try to keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long out on the road. It is a straightforward business. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just the sheds and the equipment. We stay busy through the season and then things quiet down a bit in the winter. Living and working right here near the tool plaza means we see a lot of traffic. The sun hits the metal roofs in the afternoon and it gets quite warm inside. We just keep at it, bag after bag. There isn't much to say other than we work hard and keep the place running as best we can. It’s been our life for years. We know the neighbors and the local drivers well. That is just how life goes here at the mill. We wake up early and get home late when the rice is coming in heavy.
