Pooja Foods

You can find us in Industrial Area A, on the corner of Main Road and Oswal Road. We are right near the State Bank of Patiala. This is a very busy part of the city. There are factories and warehouses everywhere you look. Pooja Foods is just one of those units. We focus on food processing. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and managing the machines. The area is always full of smoke from the other factories and the sound of big engines. Our place is purely functional. We have the loading dock and the processing area. It is not a place where you would come for a meeting; it is a place where you come to work. We spend our shifts making sure the food products are packed and ready for the trucks. It’s a lot of repetitive movement. The bank nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We don't have any polished mission statements. We just show up, do the work, and go home. The lunch breaks are usually spent sitting on the steps or going to the local tea stall. It is a gritty, hardworking environment. We take things as they come. Some days the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves. It’s just a normal day in the industrial zone. It’s not a glamorous life, but it pays the bills and we stay busy.
