We are located in Village Kulara, which is just a quiet corner of District Patiala. Most days here start early, usually before the sun is even fully up, because that is when the first loads arrive. Working at Asha Foods means dealing with a lot of grain and a lot of dust. It isn’t the kind of job where you stay clean for long. We have a few sheds where everything happens, and honestly, it gets pretty warm in the afternoons. The machines we use have been with us for a while, and they have their own little quirks that only the guys who have worked here for years really understand. If a belt slips or a motor sounds a bit off, someone usually knows exactly where to tap it to get it going again. People from the village walk over or ride their cycles to get here for their shifts. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. There is just a small room with a desk and some old chairs where we keep the paperwork. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is quiet for hours. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the bags are filled correctly before the trucks show up to take them away. It is just a regular life here, nothing too complicated or flashy. We just keep our heads down and work.
