Zion English Medium School

Zion English Medium School is located in Ayroor, which is a quiet part of Pathanamthitta district. Specifically, we are in Ayroor North, where things are much slower and greener than in the big cities. The school is a simple building that fits in well with the local houses and the trees that surround the area. It’s an English medium school, so that is what the focus is on during the day-to-day lessons. The classrooms have high ceilings to keep things cool, and we use basic wooden furniture that has seen a lot of use over the years. The playground is mostly just open ground where the kids can run around during their breaks. It is very peaceful here, except when the students are out for lunch. We have a small group of teachers who mostly live in the nearby villages, so everyone knows each other’s families. There isn't any fancy marketing or big billboards for the school. We just rely on the local people knowing where we are on the map. The road leading to the school is narrow and can be a bit muddy when it rains, but everyone is used to that. We just show up, teach the kids their lessons, and go home when the work is done. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things, and we don't feel the need to make it more complicated than it is. This is how we have operated for years in this village.
