Punj Lloyd Ltd

This is the setup for Punj Lloyd Ltd over at the Haldia Refinery in West Bengal. Specifically, we are with Pranab Das at the P.K.G Nier section. Being at a refinery means things are always moving and there is a lot of noise. It is a very industrial atmosphere. We spend our days in a temporary sort of office space that gets the job done. It is often humid and the air has that specific refinery smell to it. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. Mostly it is just maps and schedules pinned up everywhere. We are focused on the project here in Purb Medinipur. It’s a lot of hard work and the hours can be quite long. We drink a lot of water and try to stay out of the sun when we can. The guys working here are a tough bunch. We don't have time for a lot of small talk that doesn't involve the work. It’s not a place for someone who wants a comfortable desk job. We are right in the middle of everything. Sometimes the mud gets everywhere when it rains but we just keep going. It is a busy life but it feels good to see things getting built. We just take it one day at a time and focus on the next step. There is always something to fix or move or check on.
