Our office for Petron Engineering Constructions Ltd is located on the first floor of the Bedouin Apartment in Haldia. West Bengal is a busy place for industry, and being in a spot like Haldia means we are right in the middle of it. The 721 606 area has its own pace, and working out of an apartment building gives it a more personal feel than a giant skyscraper. We spend our days dealing with various engineering and construction projects that keep this region moving. It’s a lot of desk work mixed with trips to the actual sites where the heavy lifting happens. The apartment is a practical choice for us. It’s where the files are kept and where the planning happens before we head out into the field. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow, or it gets noisy with the city sounds outside, but that’s just life here. We don’t try to make it sound like we’re something we aren't. We’re engineers and builders who need a roof over our heads to handle the administrative side of the job. Being in Haldia allows us to be close to the port and the industrial zones, which makes sense for the type of work we do. It’s straightforward, really. We come in, do the work, and try to keep things running as smoothly as possible for everyone involved.
