We are out here in Khajra village, right near Kushgeria in Paschim Medinipur. It is a quiet place most of the time, though the chickens keep things loud enough. Balai Sanki looks after things here and we follow his lead. We spend most of our days just checking on the birds and making sure every single one is healthy. It isn't a fancy setup, just a regular farm doing the daily work that needs doing. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, especially when it gets too hot for the poultry in the summer months, but we just get through it together. People from around here know where we are if they need anything. We have been working in this same spot for a while now. The farm is just a part of our daily life, and there is always something to fix or a heavy bag of feed to move. It is a lot of walking back and forth between the long sheds. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that, just the space where the birds are and a bit of room to handle the chores. It is practical, physical work. You get your hands dirty every single day, but that is just how farming goes. There are no shortcuts when you are dealing with living animals. We just stick to the schedule and do our best with what we have. It’s a simple local business.
