Jangalmahal Poultry Farm Private Limited is located in Amlasuli. That’s in Garhbeta, over in Paschim Medinipur. Mihir Bisui is the one who looks after things here. We are a poultry farm, so our days are filled with the sound of chickens and the work that comes with them. It starts early in the morning, before the sun is even up properly. Amlasuli is a good spot for us. It’s quiet and we have the space we need. We don't have a fancy corporate office. It’s mostly just the farm sheds and the yard. Mihir handles the business side of things, but he’s usually got his hands dirty just like everyone else. Poultry is a tricky business. You have to worry about the feed, the diseases, and the market prices which seem to change every day. Some weeks are good and we feel like we are getting ahead, other weeks it’s a struggle. But we don't complain much. It’s the life we chose. We just want to keep the birds healthy and get them to where they need to go. Jangalmahal Poultry Farm isn't about being big or famous. We just want to provide for our families and keep the farm running in Paschim Medinipur. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
