Blueocean Fish Farms Private Limited is out in the Jalchak area of Paschim Medinipur. We are located at Amitava Jana’s place in the village. Fish farming is what we do every day. It involves a lot of time spent near the water and checking on things. Amitava has been here for a long time and knows the area well. It is not a fancy corporate job. We get our hands dirty and we are often wet from the ponds. Jalchak is a good spot for this because of the land and the water. We don't have a big marketing budget or a sales team. Usually, people just know where we are and come to find us at the village. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather because it affects the fish so much. When it rains too much or not enough, it makes our work a lot harder. But that’s just how fish farming goes. It is a slow process and you can’t rush it. We are just a small local team trying to keep the farm running. Sometimes we sit by the ponds in the evening just to see how things are looking. It is a quiet life and we like it that way. We just do our work and hope for the best. There is always something to fix or a net to mend, so it keeps us busy.
