Our group, Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Agro Producer Company Limited, is located over on Vasmat Road in Parbhani. We have our main office at Ghar Number 55 in Bhagirathi Bhagya Nagar. It's a busy enough area, and we have been here for a while now working on the agro side of things. Parbhani is a place where agriculture is the main way of life for most people. We started this company to give local farmers a way to work together instead of everyone just doing their own thing. It helps when we have to buy supplies or look for buyers for what we grow. We named it after Sant Tukaram because his teachings mean a lot to us here in Maharashtra. It’s not a big corporate operation with suits and ties. It’s more about the dirt under our fingernails and the crops in the fields. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers in the nearby villages. We meet at the Bhagirathi Bhagya Nagar office to plan out the next season. There’s always plenty to do, from checking on the seeds to seeing how the rains are holding up.
