Being in the Huda Industrial Estate at Plot No.30, Sector-29 is different from being in a regular market. It’s more about the trucks and the big warehouses. Here at Home Decors, we have a lot of space, which is good because the things we handle take up a lot of room. The building is a basic industrial structure. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just the warehouse floor and a small area where we keep the paperwork. The metal roof makes a lot of noise when it rains, and it gets pretty warm in the middle of the day. We spend our time checking deliveries and making sure the items are stored correctly. There’s always a forklift moving somewhere nearby. It’s not a quiet place for a chat. We usually wear work boots because the floor is rough. Sector-29 is a busy part of the estate, so there’s always a lot of dust in the air. We keep a water cooler in the corner, which is the most popular spot in the building. Most of us have been working in this industrial area for years. We know the guards at the other plots and the guys who drive the delivery vans. It’s a very practical environment. We focus on the items we have and getting them where they need to go. There’s no fluff here, just the daily routine of the estate.
