Delhi Public School

If you look for Delhi Public School in Ambala City, you will find us right across from Omaxe on Chandigarh Road. Specifically, the Junior Wing is at Manauli House in Model Town. It is a pretty well-known spot in the city. The area around Model Town is usually bustling, and being near the main road means there is always something going on outside our walls. The Junior Wing is a bit different from the main campus because it handles the younger children, so the furniture is smaller and the walls have a bit more color on them to keep things interesting. Ambala gets really cold in the winter mornings, so you see everyone bundled up in heavy sweaters and scarves when the gates open. The building is an older style but it stays sturdy. We have a play area where the grass gets worn down from all the running around during recess. The staff here has been around for many years, so everyone knows the local families quite well. It is not some big, anonymous institution; we recognize the faces of the parents at the gate every day. We spend most of our time just making sure the kids are where they are supposed to be and that the heaters are working during January. It is a very regular, local place where we focus on the basics of getting through the school week without too much fuss. Being near Omaxe makes it easy for parents to find us.
