Delhi Public School

Located out in Pinjore near Kalka, this school sits in a place where the air feels a bit fresher than the city. Being Delhi Public School in this specific area means we deal with a lot of students coming in from Kalka and even further away. The grounds are quite large, which is lucky because it gives the kids plenty of room to move around. We have several wings in the building, and sometimes it takes a few minutes just to walk from one end to the other. The morning assembly is usually held outside unless it’s raining, which happens quite a bit during the monsoon season. Our staff includes people who have been teaching for decades and some newer faces too. The commute for some of us involves winding roads, but you get used to the view after a while. The classrooms are filled with the usual stuff—desks, posters on the walls, and the occasional forgotten sweater. We have a canteen that sells snacks, and it’s always the most popular spot during the short break. It’s a busy place with a lot of moving parts, from the bus drivers to the kitchen staff to the teachers. We just try to keep things organized so that the students can get their work done without too much trouble. It’s a big responsibility, but we take it day by day and try to keep our sense of humor even when the printers break down.
