Vinod Marbles

Vinod Marbles is located over at E-26 on Mandia Road. It is a big yard where we keep all the stone and slabs. Working with marble is a heavy job. We spend most of our time moving pieces around and showing people what we have in stock. The air is often a bit dusty because of the cutting and the trucks coming in. It is not a quiet place. You hear the sound of stone hitting stone quite often. I have been working here for a while, and you get used to the weight of everything. Mandia Road is an industrial kind of area, so it fits what we do. We have different types of stone stacked up against the walls. Some of them have been sitting there for a bit, while others go out as soon as they arrive. We do not have a fancy showroom. It is just the yard and a small office where we sit down to do the bills. People come here when they are building something new or fixing up a floor. We show them what we have, they pick what they like, and we figure out the delivery. It is straightforward. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, but we manage. My clothes always end up covered in white dust by the end of the shift. That is just part of the life here at the marble yard. We keep a water cooler in the corner because it gets incredibly thirsty out here in the sun all day long.
