Shri Jagdamba Fancy Store

You can find us at 1 Gole Nimbda right in the middle of Sarafa Bazar. This area is always packed with people looking for gold and silver, but we focus on the smaller things that make life easier. Our shop is tucked away in a building that has seen better days, but it stays cool inside even when the sun is beating down on the bazar. We keep a lot of stuff for weddings, like fancy pins and ribbons and hair accessories. People come in with fabric samples and try to match the colors of the threads we have. It’s a lot of squinting under the tube lights to get the right shade. Sarafa Bazar is a loud place with scooters honking every second, but inside Shri Jagdamba Fancy Store, it’s mostly just the sound of glass bangles clinking together. We have these old metal trunks where we store the extra stock. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific item if someone put it in the wrong drawer yesterday. My father used to sit in this same spot, and now it’s my turn to handle the customers. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one that's a bit crooked. Everyone in the bazar knows where we are anyway. We drink a lot of water throughout the day and keep the floor swept clean of all the little scraps of paper and plastic.
