Mahesh Bhat

I live and work in Dhola Chotra, specifically in the Kumnaro Ka Bas area. My name is Mahesh Bhat. This place has a lot of history and the streets can be quite narrow and winding. Most of the people around here have known me since I was a kid. I don’t have a big corporate setup. It’s more of a personal operation. I handle various tasks for people in the neighborhood and some from further out. Sometimes I’m helping with documents, other times it’s just giving advice on how to get something done with the local authorities. Life moves at its own pace here. It’s not like the big city centers where everyone is rushing. We take time to talk and have a seat. My workspace is just a room in the building where I keep my things. It’s simple and it works for me. I don’t see a need for a lot of bells and whistles. If someone needs me, they usually just show up or send a message through a neighbor. It’s a tight community. We help each other out when things get difficult. I’ve spent my whole life in this part of town and I don’t think I’d want to be anywhere else. It’s home, and the work I do feels like it belongs here. It’s not always easy, but it’s a good way to live and serve the people around me. Most of my days are spent right here within these few blocks.
