Nandani Mobile

We are situated on Sojat Road along Tilak Marg. This is where we sell mobile phones and all the accessories that go with them. It’s a bright little shop but it can get quite messy with all the packaging from new stock. We spend a lot of time helping people figure out their new settings or putting on screen protectors without getting bubbles underneath. Tilak Marg is a good spot because people are always walking by on their way to other shops. We have glass cases for the phones and hooks for the earphones and cases. Sometimes we just sit and talk with the other shopkeepers when things are slow. We do recharges and sell SIM cards too. It is a lot of small transactions throughout the day. The door stays open to let people in easily but that means we have to wipe the glass every few hours because of the dust from the road. We don't use any fancy sales talk, we just show people what we have in their budget. It is a simple business and we’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us. Sometimes the kids come in just to look at the posters of the new models. We have a small stool behind the counter and a calendar on the wall to keep track of the days. It's just a normal day-to-day operation here on the corner.
