My name is Nitesh Kumar and I have my workspace in Sarafa Bazar, specifically at Gurkhand Katla 2. This part of the city is known for its history and the way the shops are tucked away in these old buildings. I have been working here for quite some time now, focusing on the trade that happens in this specific katla. It is a busy area, especially during the festive seasons when everyone is looking for something special. The space I have isn't very big, but it is enough for what I do every day. I spend a lot of time talking to other traders and the craftsmen who work nearby. Sarafa Bazar has a certain rhythm to it, starting slow in the morning and getting very hectic by the evening. I usually have a lot of paperwork to deal with, and there is always someone coming in to ask about prices or availability. It is a lot of small details that you have to get right. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there in the dark for a bit, waiting for the backup to kick in or for the power to return. It is just how things are in this part of town. Gurkhand Katla 2 is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, but I know every corner of it by now. I usually eat my lunch right at my desk while listening to the noise of the market outside. It is a steady way to make a living.
