M A Watch Company

M A Watch Company is located over in the Surajpole area. It is a part of town that has a lot of history and there are always a lot of people walking around the streets. Our shop is just a small slice of that busy neighborhood. We spend our hours bent over workbenches with bright lamps pointed at tiny watch movements and gears. It is a slow kind of work that doesn't really let you rush anything. If you try to go too fast, you end up breaking a delicate spring or losing a tiny pin on the floor. We have some old glass counters where we keep a few things for people to see, but mostly the shop is a workspace. The area around Surajpole is always humming with activity and we can hear the street life perfectly from our stools. We don't have any corporate manuals or polished sales pitches for anyone. When someone comes in, we just take a look at what is broken and see if it is something that can be fixed or not. Sometimes it is an old family piece that someone cares about and other times it is just a cheap plastic watch for daily use. We treat them mostly the same because the mechanical work is the same for us. The floor is made of hard stone and the walls have a few old calendars on them from past years. We don't worry about being fancy or looking modern. We just focus on the ticking and stay busy until closing time.
