Aasgar Watch & Chashma Ghar

Aasgar Watch & Chashma Ghar is located right in the middle of the Main Bazar area of Rani. It’s a busy spot with lots of people moving around from morning until night. We deal with two main things here, watches and glasses. Some people come in because their favorite watch finally stopped working, and others need a new pair of spectacles or maybe just want to look at some different frames. We have a variety of things on the shelves for people to see. It’s a local shop, so we know a lot of the people who come in from the surrounding streets and nearby villages. Sometimes the bazar gets really crowded and noisy, but we are always right there behind the counter. We do repairs for watches, changing batteries or fixing the hands when they get stuck. For the glasses, we help people find something that fits their face right and feels comfortable. It’s not some big corporate place, just a regular shop where we try to do a decent job for everyone every day. The shelves are filled with different cases and watch boxes. We’ve been in Rani for a good bit now, and the Main Bazar is a great place to be because everyone passes through eventually. We keep the shop open through the whole day. Sometimes we’re busy adjusting a frame or cleaning a watch movement. It's steady work and we enjoy it. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working here.
