Bohra Marble

Bohra Marble is located on Kachehari Road in the Ranganiya Mohalla area. If you come by, you’ll see the slabs of stone leaning against the walls and stacked up in the yard. It’s a dusty kind of job, dealing with marble all day. We spend most of our time showing people the different patterns and colors that come in. Every piece of stone is a bit different, some have more veins and some are smoother than others. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the marble is just out there where you can see it in the natural light. We help people figure out how much they need for their floors or counters. It’s heavy work, moving these pieces around, and we usually have a few guys here to help with the lifting. The shop is right on the road, so there's always the sound of traffic and people walking by. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighbors know us as the place with all the stone out front. We just open up in the morning, sweep the dust from the entrance, and wait for whoever needs marble that day. It’s a simple business, just selling stone and making sure people get what they paid for. It can be hard work but we are used to it by now and we enjoy it.
