Archi Engineering Works

We’re over at Akshay Industrial Estate, unit number 29, in the Navghar area of Vasai East. Archi Engineering Works has been operating out of this spot for quite some time. Vasai is a bit of a journey for some, but for us, it’s just where we work every day. The workshop is usually a bit cluttered with metal scraps and various parts waiting for assembly, but there’s a system to it all that only we really understand. We do a lot of fabrication and general engineering stuff. It’s the kind of place where there’s always a welder sparking somewhere or someone using a grinder. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, especially during the summer months, but we have a few big fans that help a little. We don’t really go in for corporate talk or big presentations. If a customer comes in, we just walk them over to the machine and show them what we’re doing. It’s more practical that way. Most of the staff live nearby, so we’re all locals who know the area well. We like the fact that we can figure out how to make most things work, even if the plans we’re given are just sketches on a piece of paper. It’s about solving problems with whatever tools we have on hand. We just keep at it, day in and day out, until the job is finished. It’s loud, it’s messy, but it’s our life.
