Afcon Engineering Works

You can find Afcon Engineering Works over at No. B-7 in the Balaji Indutrial Estate. We are right near Armac Engg. Work in the Bhulani Cmpound out in Vasai East. It is one of those places where you can hear the metal clanging and the grinders going from a block away. We have got a few lathes and some welding gear that keeps us busy most of the week. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings by Tuesday afternoon, and we sweep up when we can. We do not have any secretaries or people in suits walking around here. It is just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. Sometimes we help out the neighbors when they are short a tool, and they do the same for us. That is just how it goes in the compound. The commute can be a bit of a pain with the traffic in Vasai, but once we get the shutters up, it is fine. We handle whatever jobs come through the door, some big projects and some just small repairs for locals. There is a tea stall just around the corner where we usually take a break in the afternoon. It is nothing fancy, just a solid place to get work done. We try to keep the machines in good shape so they do not give us trouble during a rush. It is hard work, but it feels good to finish a project properly.
