A.K. Engineering Works.

We’ve been running A.K. Engineering Works out of unit 115 in Vora Indl. Est. No. 2 for quite some time now. Navghar Road in Vasai East is a busy place, always full of trucks and noise, and we fit right in. Most days it’s just the steady hum of machines and the smell of cutting oil. It’s not a fancy setup. We have a couple of lathes and some drill presses that have been with us through everything. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by midday, and I usually spend my time clearing them away or checking on a job. The tea stalls nearby keep us going, especially when we have to stay late to finish a batch. People find us easily enough near the estate entrance. We don’t have a big sign, just the name on the door. It’s a lot of manual work, checking measurements and making sure things fit right. Some of the guys have been here for years and they just know how the equipment behaves. When the power goes out, we just sit on the steps and wait for it to come back. It’s just how things are here in Vasai. We keep our tools sharp and our heads down. There isn’t much time for talking when the orders are piled up on the desk. Just a local shop doing what we do every single day. We don't mind the grime and the hard work as long as the jobs get finished.
