Jiwandeep Samridhi Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited

Jiwandeep Samridhi is a company of women farmers here in the Kurdeg area. We are based out of Jhirka Munda, and we use Md. Asif Hussain’s place as our contact point. Most of us are Mahila Kisans who have small pieces of land where we grow vegetables and grain. Farming by yourself can be very lonely and it’s hard to get anyone to listen to you when you have a problem. That’s why we started this. By being a producer company, we can work together to get better seeds and maybe find better places to sell what we grow. We aren't business experts. We are women who know how to plant, weed, and harvest. Everything we do is very practical and down-to-earth. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we just make do with what we have. Our meetings are simple and we talk in plain English or our local language. We worry about the same things every year, like if it will rain enough or if the market will be flooded with the same crops we are growing. But being in this group means we don't have to worry alone. We help each other out whenever we can. It's just a bunch of neighbors from Jhirka Munda trying to make life a little bit easier for our families. We keep it honest and we work hard, and that’s about it. There’s no need for big words when you’re talking about the soil. We just want to stay on our land.
