We set up Baghdya Farmer Producer Company Limited over in Vill-Nawli. The address is C/O Ahmed at House Number 1. This is in the Ferozpur Jhirka area of Mewat. It's a bit of a drive to get here but the people are friendly. We started this because the farmers in our village needed a way to work together. It's not always easy getting everyone on the same page. Sometimes we meet at Ahmed’s house and stay late into the evening. We talk about the crops and how to get them to the market without losing money. Mewat can be a tough place for farming when the water is low. We don't have any fancy marketing people. It’s just us farmers trying to figure it out. The paperwork for the government took a long time. We had to go back and forth many times. Now we are finally running things. Some days are just spent looking at the accounts and wondering where the time went. The village of Nawli is quiet most of the time. We have our small office space in the house. It's crowded when more than five people show up. But we manage with what we have. Most of our members live nearby, so they just walk over when there's news. We are just a group of local people trying to make things a little better for our families and neighbors here in the district.
