Vijay Paan Bhandaar

Vijay Paan Bhandaar is located in Sector 10 at C 443. We are actually on the 1St Floor, which is a bit different for a pan shop. People usually expect us to be right on the ground, but they find their way up the stairs eventually. From the balcony, you can see the street below and all the cars parked in the sector. I spend a lot of time preparing the lime paste and cutting up the nuts. The first floor stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is nice in the summer. I have a small counter where I keep all my ingredients in little brass bowls. It’s a quiet spot most of the day, until the offices nearby start closing. Then I get a bit of a rush. The stairs are a bit narrow, so people have to be careful coming up. I’ve lived around here for a while, so I know most of the people who come in by name. We don't have a big sign, just a small one near the entrance. I usually spend the slow hours just tidying up the shelves or listening to the news on my phone. It’s a steady job and I like being tucked away from the direct dust of the road. It feels a bit more private up here on the first floor. Sometimes the stray cats from the neighborhood wander up the stairs looking for scraps.
