Mangla Uphaar Point

Mangla Uphaar Point is over at 612 Sri Nagar in the Rani Bagh area. We have been here for a while, selling all sorts of things that people give as gifts. It is a small place, but we try to pack a lot in. You will find clocks, statues, and little decorative items for the house. We do not really have a big staff, just us family members taking turns behind the counter. The shelves are a bit crowded, and sometimes things get tucked behind others. We spend a lot of time wrapping presents in shiny paper and tying bows. My hands are usually a bit sticky from the tape. Rani Bagh is a busy neighborhood, and we get people stopping by on their way home from work. We like to chat with the neighbors and hear what is going on. The shop door squeaks every time someone comes in, but we have not gotten around to oiling it yet. We use a simple notebook to keep track of what we sell. It is not a high-tech operation, just a local shop trying to provide what people need. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked with traffic, especially during festival seasons. That is when we are at our busiest. We just keep the lights on and wait for the next customer. It is a good way to spend the day, surrounded by pretty things and friendly faces in Sri Nagar.
