We’re set up in the Citi Chamber at the D 16 Shopping Complex in Prashant Vihar. Being right near the Outer Ring Road means there’s always a lot of noise and movement. Sai Vending Services isn’t a huge operation with hundreds of employees. We’re a small team working out of this office on the F-1 level. Our day usually starts early, checking on the machines we have out at different locations. The office is often full of spare parts, coin mechanisms, and bags of snacks or coffee supplies. It gets a bit cramped, but we make it work. Living and working around Prashant Vihar means you get used to the constant traffic. Sometimes the elevators in the complex are acting up, so we end up taking the stairs more than we’d like. We don’t have a lot of time for fancy meetings. Most of our talking happens while we’re loading up the van or fixing a jammed machine in the corner of the room. It’s a simple business, really. We just make sure the machines are full and working so people can get their drinks and snacks. Sometimes the tech gets finicky and we have to spend hours troubleshooting a circuit board. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us on our toes. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now and know most of the other shopkeepers around the complex. We usually grab lunch from the stalls downstairs and then get back to it.
