You can find us at Saatvik Aahar Food Products, which is Shop No. 8 in the B-Block of the Dda Market over in Pushpanjali Enclave. Pitampura is a busy area, and this market always has people walking around looking for things. We focus on food products, mostly dry goods and things people use in their kitchens every day. The shop is not very large, so we have to stack the bags and containers pretty high to fit everything in. It smells like spices and grain inside, which is nice once you get used to it. We spend most of our morning checking the stock and seeing what needs to be ordered. Since we are in a local market, we see the same faces every week. It is a neighborhood spot where people stop to chat while they pick up their supplies for the week. We do not have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns behind the counter and moving the heavy bags. Sometimes the deliveries arrive all at once, and then the shop feels even smaller with all the crates blocking the aisles. It is a bit chaotic during the evening rush when everyone is coming home from work. We try to keep things simple and just have what the local families are looking for. The market has its own rhythm, and we have become a part of it over the time we have been here in Pitampura. We keep a small radio playing in the corner for some noise.
