Poddar G Food

You can find us at Netaji Subhas Palace in Pitampura, specifically at 315. Poddar G Food is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a busy hub with all the office buildings around here. We started this place because we wanted to do something of our own. The kitchen is small and it gets really hot when the stoves are all going at once. We have a few guys who help with the cooking and the cleaning. During the lunch hour, it gets really loud with everyone wanting their food at the same time. We don’t have fancy menus, just a printed sheet that we sometimes have to cross out when we run out of something. The tables are basic and we try to wipe them down as fast as we can. Sometimes the delivery bikes are parked all over the place and it causes a bit of trouble with the security. We just try to keep things moving and make sure nobody waits too long. At the end of the day, we are usually exhausted. We sit down for a bit before we start the cleaning. The floor is always the hardest part because of the grease. We don’t do any big advertising. People just find us while they are at work or passing through NSP. It’s a tough business but we are here every day at 315. We just hope the stoves keep working and the customers keep coming back.
