Guru Nanak Bartan Bhandar Ltd is located in the Rani Bagh Main Market at Wz 925. If you’ve ever been to Rani Bagh, you know how packed the main market gets, especially during the wedding season or festivals. Our shop is full of stainless steel, brass, and copper utensils. There is a constant clinking sound of plates and pots being moved around. We have everything from small spoons to giant cooking vats used for big gatherings. The shelves are stacked high, and we often have to use a ladder to reach things for customers. It’s a family-run feel here, even if the name says Ltd. We spend our time helping women pick out sets for their kitchens or helping fathers buy gifts for their daughters’ weddings. The floor is usually covered with cardboard from new shipments, and it can get quite hot in the summer with all that metal around. We don't have a polished sales team. It’s just us, often sitting on a small stool, talking to people about the weight and quality of the steel. People come to us because they know we’ve been here a long time and we don’t try to complicate things. It’s hard work, especially when the market is crowded and the deliveries are late, but we enjoy being in the middle of it all. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real part of Rani Bagh. Our hands get quite tired by the end of the day from handling all that metal, but it is just part of the routine.
