Gunjan Kitchenware

Gunjan Kitchenware is located in Badli Village. We are at 136/2, which is quite close to the old bus stand. People around here use the bus stand as a landmark to find us. It’s a small village setting, so things move a bit slower than in the big city. Our shop is packed with all sorts of things for the kitchen. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. It can be hard to find things sometimes if you don't know where to look. We usually have a layer of dust on the higher shelves because it’s hard to reach them every day. We don't have a fancy display. It’s just stacks of pots, pans, and other items. The floor is made of stone and gets cold in the winter. We spend our days helping people who come in looking for a specific lid or a spoon. Most of our customers are from the village or the nearby areas. We’ve known some of them for twenty years. There is a small tea stall nearby where we get our morning chai. We don't do any big marketing. Word of mouth is how people hear about us. It’s a simple business. We open at nine and close when the street lights come on. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do and we’re used to the rhythm of the village. We have a small stool for people to sit on while we find their order in the back.
