Our company, Vardhman Aluminium & Cookware, is based out in Rohini, Sector-II. We have the space at A-3/147-148. It’s a fairly large area because we have to store a lot of stock for the retail orders. Aluminium pots, pans, and all sorts of cookware are stacked up in boxes everywhere you look. It’s got a bit of a warehouse feel to it. We’ve been in the cookware business for quite some time now. The neighborhood is mostly industrial and residential mixed together. We start early in the morning when the trucks come to load up the goods for delivery. There is always a bit of noise from the packing tape and the metal clinking together. Our office is tucked in one corner of the building. It’s a simple setup with a few desks and an old computer for invoicing. We don’t really go for anything flashy or modern. Most of our day is spent checking inventory and making sure the items are in good shape. If a lid is dented or a handle is loose, we have to pull it from the stack. We have a few guys who have been with us for years and they know the stock better than anyone. Rohini is a good location for us because of the transport links to the rest of the city. It’s a lot of hard work, especially in the summer when the warehouse gets hot, but we’re used to the heat. We just keep our heads down and work.
