You can find us at 62 New Cloth Market, which is just outside the Raipur Gate. Being in a cloth market means it’s always loud and crowded with people carrying big bolts of fabric on their shoulders. Our shop isn’t very large, but we pack it full of whatever synthetic materials we’re dealing with at the time. There’s usually a thin layer of lint on everything, no matter how much we clean. We spend most of our time talking to customers who come by or sitting at the back desk trying to keep the ledger straight. It gets quite hot in the market, especially in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and we know most of the other traders around Raipur Gate. It’s a simple way of working. We don't have any fancy brochures; we just show people the fabric we have and talk about the prices. Sometimes the stacks of cloth get so high we can’t see the door, but we eventually get them sorted out. It’s a busy, dusty, and honest way to make a living. At Emkay Sethia Synthetics Pvt.
