Costa Coffee

You can find this Costa Coffee over in Rohini, specifically at A-3/352 in Sector 8. It’s a pretty standard spot in New Delhi where we spend our hours. Most of us who work here live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the weather is really messy. The smell of coffee beans is something you just carry home with you every day. It’s a small space, really. We have the counters and the seating area, and it gets quite full on the weekends when people are out with their families. We spend a lot of time cleaning up spills and making sure the machines are working right. Sometimes the steam wand makes a loud noise that scares the new guys. We don't have a big corporate team here; it’s just us behind the counter. We know the regulars who come in every morning for their usual drink. The windows look out onto the street, so we see a lot of people walking by. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and moving quickly. During the summer, everyone wants cold drinks, and we can barely keep up with the ice. In the winter, it’s the opposite. We just keep the place running as best as we can. It’s a decent place to work and the atmosphere is usually alright, even when it’s loud. We just focus on the next cup.
