Barista

Our Barista location is at UU-81 in Pitampura. It’s right in the middle of a busy part of New Delhi. We spend most of our time behind the counter or cleaning up the tables in the seating area. The place has that constant smell of roasted beans which is nice for the first few hours but you stop noticing it after a while. We have a lot of regulars who come in from the nearby blocks to get their daily fix. Some people stay for hours with their laptops and we don't really mind as long as it’s not too crowded. The floor gets a bit sticky when it’s raining outside and people bring in mud. We are always running around trying to keep things tidy. The espresso machine is the loudest thing in here and it’s always going. We have a small back room where we keep the supplies and take our breaks when we can. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the rush during the mornings and evenings. Pitampura is a lively neighborhood so there is always something to look at out the window. We just try to get the orders right and keep the place decent for whoever walks in. It’s not a complicated job but it keeps us moving. The UU block is a good spot for us.
