Choco Centre

We’ve been here at Sainik Vihar 373 for quite a while now. Most people around Pitampura know our shop because of the bright sign, though the paint is peeling a bit on the corners. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves filled with chocolates and different types of treats. It gets pretty busy in the evenings when school lets out and kids come in with their pocket money. Sometimes the cooling unit for the fridge makes a loud humming noise that we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We spend a lot of time arranging the boxes so they look somewhat neat, but by the end of the day, everything is usually a bit of a mess. The floor needs a good sweep every couple of hours because of the dust from the street outside. It’s not a very big space, just enough for a few people to stand and look at what’s available. We mostly just sit behind the counter and chat with the regulars who live in the apartments nearby. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it’s more crowded than usual. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a simple place where you can find something sweet if you’re passing through the neighborhood. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power acts up, but we keep a few candles handy just in case. It's just a regular part of life here in this corner of the city.
