Bombay Bartan Bhandar

If you head over to Rama Market in Pitampura, you’ll find Bombay Bartan Bhandar at 220, A / 6. It is a busy little corner of the market, and there is usually a lot of noise from all the steel and brass clanging around. We have pots, pans, and all sorts of kitchen things stacked up almost to the ceiling. It can be a bit tricky to navigate the aisles without bumping into something, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. The market can be a chaotic place, especially on the weekends, but we’ve been here long enough that it just feels like home. We don't spend money on fancy lighting or expensive floors. We just have simple shelves and a lot of stock. Most of our day is spent helping people find the right size of cooker or a specific type of spoon. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around. We talk to a lot of families and people just starting their own homes. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique. We just sell practical things that people use every day in their kitchens. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh with the other shopkeepers nearby when things are slow. It is just a regular life in a busy Delhi market, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep the shop open and see who comes in.
