About Bikano Point – Food & Beverages in North West Delhi
Lajpat Nagar IV is always a bit of a mess with people and cars, and we are right in the middle of it at Amar Colony E-138. Bikano Point is usually full of the smell of fried snacks and sweets. We have these glass cases that we spend half the day cleaning because kids put their hands on them. It’s a lively spot. People come in groups, usually families who are out shopping in the colony. I spend a lot of time bagging things up or weighing out snacks. My apron is always covered in crumbs by noon. The shelves are packed tight with boxes of all sizes. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff and people get a bit annoyed, but we try to get more from the back as fast as we can. The floor gets a bit sticky when it’s busy, so someone is always walking around with a mop. We have been at E-138 for a while now, and the neighbors all know us. It’s loud because of the market outside, and sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise. We just ignore it and keep working. There’s always a line during the holidays, and it gets pretty hectic behind the counter. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure everyone gets their change right. It’s just a normal daily grind for us in this neighborhood.
