Avid (India) Marbles & Granites

We operate out of C-52 in Surya Enclave, which is part of Pashchim Vihar. It is a bit of a mix of residential and business spots around here. Our place is basically where we store all the slabs of marble and granite. It is a lot of heavy stuff, so we are always careful about how things are stacked up. The yard has a certain smell of wet stone and earth. We have been in this location for a good bit of time now. The office is just a small corner where we handle the bills and talk to whoever walks in. It isn't a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the time, the slabs are just leaning against the walls or sitting on A-frames. We get a lot of dust on our clothes by the end of the shift. Pashchim Vihar can get quite crowded in the evenings, so we try to get most of our loading done earlier in the day. The guys working here are used to the physical labor of moving the stone around. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to. It's more about looking at the grain of the stone and making sure the pieces match up for whoever is buying them. We just run things in a way that makes sense for a small local operation. There are no big speeches here, just the sound of the stone being moved and the occasional truck backing in to pick up an order.
