Agarwal Sweet & Snack

Agarwal Sweet & Snack is over in Rampura Phool Bagh, right where the traffic usually builds up in the afternoons. We have a pretty straightforward setup here. We spend most of our time at the large vats near the front of the shop because that is where the snacks are made. People walking by can smell the frying, and that usually brings them in. It is a noisy part of town, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking while we work. We have a few benches, but most people just stand or take their bags to go. It is not a place with a lot of fancy decorations or anything like that. We use simple metal trays and paper bags. Our staff is just a couple of local guys who know how to handle the rush when school lets out or when people are headed home from work. We do not have a big mission or any corporate goals. We just want to make enough snacks for the day and make sure the shop is ready for the next morning. Sometimes we get orders for local parties, which keeps us extra busy in the back. It is hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it is what we do here in Rampura. We just take things one day at a time. The neighbors are good people and they tell us when something tastes right or if we need to change something. We listen to them because they are the ones who keep us in business. It is a noisy, hot, and busy shop, but it is where we belong in Rampura Phool Bagh.
