Sai Saugaat Grace Beauty Parlour is at B-150, Gali Number 7 in Bhajan Pura. We are quite close to the main market area, so it’s easy for people to stop by after they finish their shopping for the day. The street is narrow, like most galis in this part of Delhi, but we have a decent sign so you can find us without much trouble. It’s a small, family-style parlour. I run it with the help of a girl from the next lane. We have been here for a good few years and have seen the neighborhood change a lot over time. Inside, we have basic wooden cupboards for our threads and creams and a few mirrors. It’s a place where women feel comfortable sitting and talking while they wait their turn. We do a lot of henna for hands during the festival seasons or when there is a wedding nearby. The noise from the main market reaches us, but once you are inside, it feels a bit more private. We don't have any fancy marketing or glossy brochures. We just rely on the fact that we do a neat job and don't charge too much for our work. Sometimes the water pressure is low, so we keep buckets ready in the back. It’s just a normal, everyday shop serving the local people of Bhajan Pura.
