We are located in Gali No. 6 in Old Mustfabad, quite close to the Umar Masjid. It is a narrow lane, so it can get a bit tight when the bikes are parked outside. Our shop is small, just enough room for a couple of chairs and a small area for people to sit while they wait. We have the usual tools of the trade like scissors, combs, and a few different types of clippers. The neighborhood is very lively, especially around prayer times when people are heading to the masjid. We get a lot of regulars who have been coming to us for years. They come in for a quick shave or a trim and stay for a bit of a talk about what’s happening in the Gali. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps us see what we are doing when we are working on a tricky beard line. We keep a bucket of water and plenty of clean cloths ready for every customer. It’s not a place with air conditioning or fancy music. We usually just have the fan blowing and the sound of the street coming in through the open door. Most of the work is straightforward. We don’t try to do those complicated styles unless someone really asks for it. Mostly, it’s just regular cuts for regular people who live around Old Mustfabad and want a decent job done.
