Sharpcut Tool (India) is tucked away at 30/2, Gali No. 10, Vishwas Nagar, over in the Shahdara area. If you know this part of town, you know it’s full of small shops and narrow lanes where everyone is busy making something. Our place isn’t very big, but we manage to fit a lot of cutting tools inside. Gali No. 10 is usually crowded with scooters and people moving goods, so getting to us can be a bit of a trip sometimes. We’ve been working here for a long time, mostly making or selling tools that people use in other industries. It’s a bit dark inside the shop because the buildings are so close together, but we have enough light to see what we are doing. There is always the sound of metal being moved or the clatter from the street outside. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Most of our days are spent checking the stock or talking to regular customers who come from across Shahdara. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal shavings on it. It’s just a regular workshop where we do our best to keep things moving. We aren’t trying to be anything special, just a reliable place in Vishwas Nagar where you can get your tools without any drama. It keeps us busy from morning until late in the evening.
