Pulley House

You can find Pulley House at 550/5 in Shahdara, right near Mansarovar Park on the main Gt Road. Being on the main road makes it easy for people to pull over, though the traffic can be a nightmare sometimes. We mostly sell pulleys, just like the name says. We have all kinds—aluminum, cast iron, small ones for fans, and big ones for industrial machines. They are stacked on shelves and hung on the walls. It’s a bit of a niche thing, but everyone needs a pulley at some point if they are running a motor. The shop is basically a long room filled with circles of metal. We don't spend money on fancy lights or decorations. We just have some old fans to keep us cool and a desk where we write out the bills by hand. My cousin helps me out most days. We get a lot of truck drivers and factory owners stopping by on their way through the city. We know the sizes of most common machines by heart now. It’s a simple business, really. We buy them in bulk and sell them to whoever needs one. Sometimes the floor gets a bit slippery from the oil they put on the metal to stop it from rusting. We just put some sawdust down and keep going. It’s a solid, steady way to make a living here on GT Road and we have done it this way for many years.
